Reinforce Advanced Math Placement (RAMP) program

Event Description:

The Reinforce Advanced Math Placement (RAMP) program is a summer math bridge program designed to help incoming first-year students with an ACT Math score of 26 or below in advancing their math readiness prior to starting their Fall term. The program includes structured math and engineering preparation activities combined with social and cultural events to help students gain the skills and confidence needed for success in college. After participating in the RAMP program, students can take the ACCUPLACER test. Highly successful participants test above their prior placement scores and begin their Fall terms in one math course beyond their current math placement. In 2023, 65 percent of participants improved their math placement. Math instruction is tailored to the course level needed for each student.
