Pickleball Tournament

Event Description:

It will be a bracket-style tournament Teams will be duos (2 people). It will be show-up style; no pre-signup. Setup will be at 5:30 PM. Teams can check in from 5:45 PM to 6:00 PM, the bracket will be finalized by 6:05 PM, and games will begin immediately after the bracket is finished. The event will run until 8:00 PM. It will be held in the MAC Gym in the Rec Center. There will be 3 games going at a time because 3 courts in MAC gym. Games will follow standard pickleball rules and be self-officiated on the honor system. If there is a heated disagreement over a point, the point will be replayed. Please bring your own paddle if possible. A limited number of paddles will be available. For attendees, we will mainly market the event toward freshmen, but even if someone is not specifically a freshman, we would not turn them away. Water and Gatorade will be provided. No prize, just bragging rights. Scoring will be based on turnout, it will either be first 11, win by two; only first to 11; or only first to 7.
